12 Days Kenya and Tanzania Safari

Day 1: Nairobi-Lake Naivasha

Pick up from your hotel and depart for  the famous Rift Valley Lakes heading to Lake Naivasha. After check in and refreshments we head to the Fresh water lake which is home to over 400 bird species and a large population of hippo. We will take a boat ride past all the hippos and visit the stunning Crescent Island sanctuary. Here with our guides we walk amongst Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and water buck. We then head back to Naivasha Sopa Lodge  for dinner and a good night’s rest.

Day 2: L.Naivasha- Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast we head to Africas Premier Game Reserve Maasai Mara. On route to the Mara we stop at the Great rift valley view point and take in the magnificent view over the plains.  After check in we are treated to lunch. After Lunch we head out for our first game drive in Maasai Mara in search of the big cats and plenty of wildebeest! Before heading back for dinner and overnight at the Mara Sarova Lodge or similar.

Day: 3 and 4: Full Day Safari Game Drive in Maasai Mara National Reserve

Breakfast and depart with packed lunches for a full day exploring the park in search of the Big 5 and other wild game .Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person,or a visit to the Masai Village to learn their culture and way of life .Later return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at the Mara Sarova Lodge or similar.

The Mara offers wildlife in variety.You will see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.The spectacular annual event takes place in the Mara ,the migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture.Later return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at the Mara Sarova Lodge or Similar.

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Reserve - Serengeti National park

We leave the lodge soon after breakfast and drive through the southern part of the reserve viewing game as we proceed to the Tanzanian border at Isebania / Sirari.After immigration procedures we hand you over to our Tanzania representative and proceed to Serengeti national park – game is viewed as we proceed to Serengeti Katikati Camp or similar for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast depart with packed lunches for a full day game drive exploring the park ,return in the evening for a deserved rest . Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Katikati Camp or similar

Serengeti is Africa’s most famous and Tanzania’s largest park , adjoining with the Masai Mara National reserve in Kenya. With a wildebeest population of about 2 million and several other hoofed species (which include zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi, Grants gazelle, Kongoni, Eland, Kirk’s dik dik, klipspringer, roan, Oryx, oribi, waterbuck, buffalo, giraffe and warthog), it is sure to attract a string of prey such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, golden jackals and bat eared foxes. Elephants are relatively scarce and the few remaining black rhinoceros are restricted to the Moru Koppies area.

Day 7 : Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater via Olduvai Gorge

After breakfast proceed to the magnificent Ngorongoro crater via the historical Olduvai Gorge whilst game watching only interrupted by a picnic lunch.The Olduvai Gorge cuts through rock beds layered in time sequence from 2 million years ago to the present. It is here where humanoid bones have been found, including a direct ancestor of modern man. Fossil footprints (over three million years old) have also been found here and are the most ancient footprints yet discovered.

Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Rhino lodge or similar

Day 8 : Ngorongoro Crater Tour

After an early breakfast, we drive south to the magnificent Ngorongoro crater via the historical Olduvai Gorge whilst game watching only interrupted by a Packed lunches. Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Rhino lodge or similar

The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world, not only because of its geological magnificence, but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s largest populations of large mammals. Ngorongoro and other freestanding mountains are volcanic in origin, formed during the fracturing process that created the Rift valley 15 to 20 million years ago. When it peaked in size 3 million years ago it was a similar height to Mt. Kilimanjaro today

Day 9 : Ngorongoro Crater - Lake Manyara National Park

Depart after breakfast for Lake Manyara National park arriving in time for lunch,check in and later proceed for an afternoon game drive till evening.

.Lake Manyara is a shallow, alkaline lake that is part of the Rift Valley wall. Lake Manyara’s main attractions are its rich bird life, tree climbing lions and its hippos, which you can see at a closer range than many other places. Lake Manyara also hosts thousands of flamingos at certain times of the year. Dinner and overnight at  L.Manyara Hotel or similar for dinner and overnight stay

Day 10: L.Manyara- Amboseli National Park

Early breakfast then proceed and drive into Kenya via the Namanga border, after immigration process leave fo Amboseli National Park arrival will be time lunch at  Kibo Safari camp. After check in relax and later depart for an afternoon game drive till sunset and return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Full Day Safari Game Drive in Amboseli National Park

A full day in this amazing park. Morning and afternoon game drives. Meals and overnight at kibo safari camp

Amboseli National park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya. It is situated close to Kenya. It is situated close to Kenya- Tanzania border, The Park lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa (5,896m) whose snow-capped summit presents a splendid view on clear days. Amboseli National Park is often referred to as “The home of Elephants’ some of the largest Elephant herds are found here.

 Day 12: Departure

After morning breakfast we pack our bags and head back to Nairobi.We arrive back in Nairobi in the afternoon drop off at the airport for your flight back home.
